Warm layers for every kind of cold

Natural fibres, refined through with comfort and responsibility held in

  1. We engineer fibre blends to balance breathability, moisture movement and temperature regulation.
  1. We consider material origin, waste inputs, durability and product life from the outset.

Warmth You Forget You’re Wearing

Most thermals make you choose: be warm, or be comfortable. Ours don’t. Paire base layers are cut slim and made from superfine Merino, collagen-infused knits and cashmere blends — so they sit invisibly under a work shirt as easily as they sit under a ski jacket.

Why Choose Paire Thermals?

  • Warmth without bulk: a sleek profile that layers cleanly instead of bunching under everything you own.
  • Naturally regulating: Merino wool helps the body stay warm, dry and comfortable as the temperature moves through the day.
  • Soft enough to sleep in: no prickle, no plastic feel — these are thermals you’ll wear by choice, not just necessity.
  • Breathable: natural fibres move moisture, so you don’t overheat the moment you step indoors.

Choose Your Base Layer

  • 100% Superfine Merino Thermals — long sleeves and leggings for women and men, made from 18.5-micron superfine Merino wool. The purist’s choice: natural warmth, breathability and easy stretch.
  • Foundation Thermals — long sleeve and leggings infused with collagen proteins that nourish and moisturise skin as you wear them. A sleek profile, and all-day softness.
  • Cashmere-Blend Long Sleeves — crew, boat and turtleneck necklines in a cashmere and TENCEL™ Lyocell blend. Warm enough to be a base layer, smart enough to be the whole outfit.

18.5 Microns, Explained

Micron measures the diameter of a single wool fibre — the lower the number, the finer and softer the fibre feels against skin. Standard wool sits around 24 microns and upward, which is where the old “itchy jumper” reputation comes from. At 18.5 microns, our superfine Merino is fine enough to wear directly against the skin all day. That’s the whole trick: not less warmth, just finer wool.

Layering for an Australian Winter

Australian winters are a moving target — 6°C at the bus stop, 22°C in a heated office. Because Merino regulates rather than simply insulates, a thin base layer handles both ends of that swing better than a thick one. Start with a superfine long sleeve or Foundation Thermal against the skin, add a cashmere-blend layer for the cold half of the day, and take the outer layer off without immediately regretting your choices.
