The Only T-Shirt Test That Matters

Wear it. Wear it again tomorrow. Does it still feel — and smell — fine? Cotton usually doesn’t. Our merino t-shirts do, because Australian Merino wool resists odour naturally and regulates temperature instead of just sitting there.

Why Choose a Merino T-Shirt?

  • Naturally odour-resistant: Merino resists the bacteria that cause smell, so a tee goes multiple wears between washes.
  • Temperature-regulating: warm when it’s cool, breathable when it’s warm. One tee, four seasons.
  • Moisture-wicking: moves sweat off the skin rather than holding it in the fabric.
  • Wrinkle-resistant: comes out of a bag looking like clothing, not like laundry.

Isn’t Wool Too Hot for an Australian Summer?

It’s the most common objection, and it comes from experience with thick, coarse wool. Fine Merino behaves differently: the fibre moves moisture vapour away from the skin and lets air circulate, which is why Merino tees are a staple for desert trekking and long-haul flights alike. A lightweight Merino tee is typically cooler than a heavy cotton one in humidity, because wet cotton stays wet against you.

How Many Wears Between Washes?

Our honest answer: two to three wears in mild conditions, and often more. Hang the tee up overnight rather than folding it into a drawer — wool refreshes itself with nothing but air. Washing less is better for the garment and for the planet, and it’s the single biggest practical difference between a Merino tee and a cotton one.
